Jivamukti Yoga Open Class - All Levels
Whether you're a beginner, deciphering the difference between tree pose and headstand, or an advanced yogi who can put both feet behind their head, the Jivamukti Open class welcomes you, as it is open to practitioners of all levels. Pose options will be provided for beginners, intermediate and advanced students. An Open class presents classical yoga teachings as relevant to one’s life on and off the mat, supported by chanting, breath awareness, flowing vinyasa sequences, alignment exploration, hands-on assistance, relaxation and meditation. Exuberant, eclectic music plays an integral role.

Effort and Flow (2.5 hours)
Start the morning with this vinyasa based practice - enjoy a classic, upbeat Jivamukti sweaty sequence that’s also fun. The class will include chanting, meditation and of course phsycial āsana exploring the dynamic between effort and flow, attention and ease. All levels.

Saturday PM SOMATICS Workshop 3-5pm
Unwinding the Patterns of Anxiety (2 hours)
Using the methodology of Living Somatics - a system of neuromuscular education and a movement awareness practice - we will spend the afternoon in embodied discovery. We will use this work to teach us how to us recognise and release holding patterns and chronic pain resulting from injury, stress, repetitive strain, and habituated posture. In this session, we will focus on releasing anxiety from the body and increasing overall wellbeing - using slow and integrated movement. Come dressed in comfortable clothing.
*No prior knowledge of yoga or somatics is required. All practitioners are welcome.*

Hip Harmony: Unlocking the Hips and Pelvis (2.5 hours)
Experience the freedom from tight hips and pelvic tension, common afflictions of modern living. The sedentary nature of our culture often leads to a disconnect from the earth, reflected in our sitting and movement patterns. Through Jivamukti Yoga, we can unravel these ingrained habits, revealing the full spectrum of our movement potential. This dynamic class caters to practitioners of all levels, placing a deliberate focus on hip opening postures while ensuring a balanced and comprehensive practice that encompasses asana, meditation, chanting, and breath awareness.

Sunday PM philosophy Workshop3-5pm
Consciousness Reimagined: Exploring the Mandukya Upanishad (2 hours)
This is the shortest of all the Upaniṣad and is listed as one of the most important in the Muktikā cannon of 108 Upaniṣad. We will go through the opening śāntiḥ mantra before exploring the philosophical foundations of vedanta that underpin the text. We will look at many of the verses from the text in relation to what modern science tell us about the nature of consciousness. Bring your open mind, pen and notebook.
